Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate successfully all students must complete each element of the four year training programme.
Throughout the course progress is assessed by home assignments, class work and examinations.

  • A minimum attendance throughout each of the four years of AT LEAST 80%
  • A minimum of 100 hours of attendance at College Student Teaching Clinics.
  • All hours MUST be fully documented and countersigned by College Teaching Staff.
  • A minimum of AT LEAST 80% of College assignments completed to a satisfactory standard, gaining an APPROVED mark or higher.
  • Students MUST be able to demonstrate sound clinical competence, patient care, diagnostic skills and prescribing ability.
  • Students MUST have gained a satisfactory and consistent level of achievement in all written examinations.
  • Students MUST have submitted 12 satisfactory graduation cases (two of which may be acute cases).
  • Each student MUST be able to demonstrate that they can confidently practice Homeopathy in a safe, effective, sensitive & confidential manner, with complete respect and care for the patient.
  • Each student MUST complete a minimum of 100 external observation hours sitting in with a broad spectrum of registered homeopaths.
  • Students MUST demonstrate a responsible commitment to Continued Professional Development (CPD) and have met all oustanding financial responsibilities to the Homeopathic College of East Anglia and supervisory tutors.

Upon successful completion of these requirements, Graduates of this College are entitled to use the letters LHCEA.

This Licentiateship of The Homeopathic College of East Anglia awards the Certificate to Practice.


You are encouraged on graduation to become a member of the current official regulatory bodies, which include the Society of Homeopaths and the Homeopathic Medical Association. We regularly invite representatives from each of these organisations to the College to discuss the benefits of membership with these professional registering bodies.

We encourage all graduates to continue their involvement with College activities and to take a responsible approach to Continued Professional Development.
